Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to all security installations, services and quotations provided by AD Security Services across the Midlands.

1. Introduction

In these Terms, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to AD Security Services. By accepting a quotation, making a booking or allowing work to proceed, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

2. Services provided

We provide the design, supply, installation, setup and testing of:

  • CCTV systems and recording equipment
  • Intruder alarms and associated devices
  • Video and smart doorbells
  • Network wiring, data cabling and associated equipment
  • Maintenance, upgrades and fault diagnosis

All work is completed using reasonable skill, care and industry best practice.

3. Quotations & pricing
  • All quotations are free and without obligation.
  • Unless stated otherwise, quotations are valid for 30 days from the date issued.
  • Quotes are based on the information available at the time. Changes to requirements, property layout or access may require the quotation to be revised.
  • Any additional work requested on the day of installation will be priced and agreed before it is carried out.
4. Deposits & payment
  • A deposit may be required before we order equipment or confirm installation dates. You will be informed if this applies.
  • Unless agreed otherwise in writing, payment of the remaining balance is due immediately upon completion of the installation.
  • Accepted payment methods will be confirmed on your invoice or quotation.
  • All equipment remains the property of AD Security Services until paid for in full.
5. Scheduling & access
  • Installation dates and times will be agreed in advance.
  • You must ensure we have safe, reasonable and uninterrupted access to all relevant areas of the property.
  • Missed appointments or delays caused by restricted access may result in a call-out or rebooking fee.
6. Warranty

Unless stated otherwise:

  • Supplied equipment is covered by the manufacturer’s standard warranty (typically 12 months).
  • Our workmanship is covered for 12 months from the completion date.

Warranty does not cover faults arising from:

  • Accidental, malicious, environmental or weather-related damage
  • Changes, tampering or DIY work after installation
  • Power cuts, network/Internet outages or poor Wi-Fi coverage
7. Call-outs & maintenance
  • Where possible, we will attempt remote support first.
  • Non-warranty visits and maintenance may be chargeable; fees will be confirmed before attendance.
8. Customer responsibilities
  • Provide accurate information during the quotation process.
  • Ensure your Internet and Wi-Fi are available and functional where required for smart systems.
  • Obtain any necessary permissions (for example, landlord consent or building management approval).
  • Use CCTV and recording equipment in line with UK data protection and privacy laws.
9. CCTV usage & legal requirements

You are responsible for complying with UK law when using CCTV, including:

  • Positioning cameras so they do not unnecessarily intrude on neighbours’ homes or private spaces.
  • Displaying appropriate CCTV signage where required.
  • Ensuring recorded footage is stored and used lawfully under the UK GDPR.

We can provide general guidance but cannot provide formal legal advice.

10. Cancellations
  • You may cancel prior to installation without charge, provided no special-order equipment has been purchased.
  • Cancellations within 48 hours of the agreed start time may incur a fee to cover time and any non-returnable equipment.
11. Liability

We are not liable for:

  • Loss of data or footage
  • Network or Internet issues outside our control
  • Existing defects in your electrical or building infrastructure
  • Any indirect or consequential loss

Our total liability is limited to the value of the services provided under the relevant contract.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The latest version will always be available on our website. Continued use of our services after any changes are made constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
